Phantom Finishing is proud to be able to provide ionbond DiamondBlack Coating. It is an extremely hard PVD type coating that was originally designed to extend the life of drill bits. The DiamondBlack Coating has been specifically designed for firearm use.
The DiamondBlack coating comes only in black and roughly has an equivalent Rockwell Hardness of 90.
There is also a FDE version of ionbond that roughly has a Rockwell hardness of 70, but it is not recommended for moving parts, but works great on knives and frames.
